Pothole claims life of 22-yr-old biker in Thane

THANE: A 22-year-old motorcyclist lost his life on the Kalyan-Shil Road area of Shil-Daighar when he reportedly lost control of his vehicle after hitting a pothole, and a speeding car collided with his bike from the rear during the wee hours of Wednesday.
Police said the motorcyclist, Kamothe-resident Sagar Misal (22), succumbed to his severe head injuries.A case has been registered against the driver of the car at the Shil-Daighar police station on Wednesday.
The uncle of the deceased lodged a formal complaint based on which a case has been registered. The driver has not yet been apprehended. “A probe has been initiated to identify the vehicle and track its whereabouts,” stated a police officer.
