India is unlikely to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025

Rising tensions call for the Indian Cricket team to avoid a possible trip to Pakistan for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. According to ANI sources inside the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have indicated plans to petition the ICC for events in Dubai or Sri Lanka rather. This calculated action highlights the BCCI's attempts to give safety and geopolitical issues top priority for their players and officials, therefore reflecting the sensitivity of the geopolitical situation.

India prevailed over Pakistan by a margin of 6 runs in their last match in the ICC T20 World Cup. India scored 119 runs in 19 overs during the match, which took place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium. Rishabh Pant and Jasprit Bumrah displayed exceptional performances. Pakistan's innings concluded at 113/7 in 20 overs, with Mohammad Rizwan heading the charge, despite a valiant effort to recover. Jasprit Bumrah's exceptional bowling performance garnered him the well-deserved title of Player of the Match. Another compelling chapter was added to the historic rivalry between the two nations by this victory with India continuing to dominate them at the international stage.

India went on to lift the ICC T20 World Cup title, beating South Africa on June 29, 2024. The historic win ended the country's 11-year ICC drought. It is anticipated, that Rohit Sharma and the team will be unstoppable under the leadership of the new head coach, Gautam Gambhir.
